La tecnologia imperversa anche al cinema, e quello che vediamo sullo schermo ormai, nella maggior parte dei casi, non è reale al 100%, ma ricostruito al computer. La tecnica più usata in fase di ripresa è il green screen, uno pannello verde che in fase di montaggio verrà sostituito con uno sfondo diverso e spettacolare. Questa tecnica permette di realizzare riprese risparmiando sulle spese di location e rendendo più spettacolare il film, ed è ormai una consuetudine.
